Evelyn Ivinson

Evelyn Ivinson is an urban planner who is passionate in pursuing urban planning solutions that can improve food security through better land use governance and tailored approaches to land use management. She has significant experience in managing land use conflicts through strategic and statutory planning in NSW with a personal interest in growing food to empower and strengthen communities. Evelyn seeks to bridge these interests through research that focuses on how statutory and strategic planning can enable urban agriculture to exist in innovative ways and benefit those most vulnerable to food insecurity. She also volunteers at her local community garden to support workshops on propagating and growing food.
