Bethaney Turner

Associate Professor, Centre for Creative and Cultural Research, Faculty of Arts and Design, University of Canberra

Bethaney has over a decade of experience in community gardening, food waste and composting research collaborating with ACT schools (including Kaleen High School, Charnwood-Dunlop School and Melba-Copland College), ACT community organisations (including Canberra Organic Growers Society and Capital Region Community services), national multicultural institutions, and international colleagues. Her work has informed ACT Government approaches to urban planning and activation in relation to food production and urban park management. Bethnaey is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Creative and Cultural Research, Faculty of Arts and Design. Bethaney co-leads the University of Canberra’s Future of Food in the Canberra region initiative.
