Ann Hill

Senior Lecturer , University of Canberra

Ann has research expertise in community partnering approaches to food gardening research in socio-culturally diverse contexts. She has extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary and cross-institutional teams for research and community education purposes. Ann has been working with local governments, non-government organisations and community collaborators for fifteen years, both in Australia and Asia, on ARC Discovery Project ‘Strengthening economic resilience in Monsoon Asia’ and most recently on the ‘Global Garden Project’, part-funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research, which showcases schools in the Philippines as conduits for community learning through food gardening. She co-leads UC’s Future of Food in the Canberra region initiative and is a member of UC’s Sustainability Committee, with both roles prioritising community engagement and enacting ACT sustainable food futures.
