Wicking beds are self-contained raised garden beds that have built-in reservoirs that supply water from the bottom up making them incredibly water efficient.
Come along to the Pakenham Community Garden to learn how to design, build and care for successful wicking beds using different materials.
As part of the workshop, there will be a hands-on demonstration of how to transform an existing raised garden bed into a wicking bed.
Snacks and a light lunch will be provided
