Come down to the community garden to learn from two experienced biodynamic growers.

Phil and Anne are the past owners of the successful Sunningdale Farm at Mt. Compass and have years of experience farming with biodynamic principles.

Bring protection from the elements (rain or sun!) and your favoured method for note taking.

Gold coin donation at the gate.

What's biodynamic farming?

"Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition.

The principles and practices of biodynamics can be applied anywhere food is grown, with thoughtful adaptation to scale, landscape, climate, and culture.

Biodynamic farmers and gardeners observe the rhythms and cycles of the earth, sun, moon, stars, and planets and seek to understand the subtle ways that the environment and wider cosmos influence the growth and development of plants and animals.

Biodynamic farmers and gardeners favor open-pollinated, heirloom, and non-GMO seeds and heritage breeds of animals."
